We wanted to give you and update on our “giving to our troops” event. We had over 45 apartment homes participate and we received over 1295 individual items donated!! These include pretzels, crackers, band aid packages, hand sanitizers, shampoo, candy, chapsticks, popcorn etc. To this day, we are still receiving donation from residents. We will probably get ready to ship all items at the end of this week.
While picking up donations, we met a man (Matt) who said he was a reserve troop. He thanked us for doing an event like this and he told us that Ravello would never fully know how much impact we are making”. He went on to tell us that when he was stationed overseas once, he was part of a group that received care package. He said the troops moral is greatly bolstered and that they feel much appreciated even from afar.
It is so amazing to see you guys helping others. Thank you so much for all that you do here at Ravello.
We had a Breakfast On The Go this past Monday morning that was a huge success. We served over 75 Ravello Residents a delicious breakfast which included a warm sausage and egg burrito, a healthy banana, a juice and a square of Ghiradelli Chocolate…you can eat dessert with any meal :)
We received a text from a resident (Amy) who said that she just wanted to let us know that “her breakfast on the go made her day”
Another resident (Max) grabbed her breakfast as she was walking to the trolly and she looked back and yelled “I love Ravello and I love yummy breakfasts on the go!”
Our Residents like this event so much, that they told us as soon as they see it on the calendar they actually mark it on their smartphones so they know what day they don’t have to worry about making their own breakfast - its almost as if they anticipate it with joy :)
Needless to say….We love our residents and we love seeing them happy. We can’t wait for our Next Resident Event.

It’s the first week of January and I already have broken my New Year’s Resolutions. I want to drink less, eat healthier food, reduce my coffee intake and exercise more. Sounds like pretty standard New Year’s Resolutions to me. I should be able to keep at least one or two of them.
I can admit that I have a tiny love affair with my smart phone, who doesn’t right? I decided to look for apps that would help me keep my New Year’s Resolutions.
Check out this article to help you find the right app for you Ravello. Are you going to download any of these apps? Let us know in the comments.

In light of the recent tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary, we were looking for ways that we can help those affected in some way. In doing a Google search of “ways to help Sandyhook” the fist link to populate was a list posted by USA TODAY.
If you feel inclined, you may sign the Sandy Hook Elementary School National Sympathy Card. The card will be delivered to community officials with all the signatures. You can sign that card here.
